CALIFORNIA PLEIN AIR PAINTING by TOM BROWN

“THE PLEIN AIR EXPERIENCE”
6x8 inch California impressionist
plein air oil painting by Tom Brown

This is another painting done the same day as the painting I posted yesterday. It was painted during a Saturday morning plein air class I conducted at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary recently.

While we painted we were treated to a variety of sounds and sights of nature that an artist simply doesn’t get to experience when painting in the studio. Butterflies, bullfrogs, herons, ducks and other bonuses embellished the moment.

As another artist and I were setting up our easels early in the morning a large bobcat sauntered casually past us on this walking path. It was a rare treat, and it was a wonderful day to be outside with our paints.

Thanks for looking. To purchase this painting, email me at: tombrownstudio@cox.net
