A citrus grove that was one of my favorite painting sites is being replaced by a new housing development. But when life hands you lemons, make lemonade they say. In this case it took away lemons, but I decided to create this plein air painting using what’s there now. The workers were on break, and I had time to set up my pochade and capture the rugged look of this piece of machinery. I was also able to shoot a quick photo before they chased me away. I thought it would be interesting to share the photo for comparison with my painting. For more info about my pochade box click HERE.
