PAINTING PLEIN AIR WITH A PALETTE KNIFE by TOM BROWN

Lots of you have asked about the mini paintbox I showed on my blog the other day. I have a variety of outdoor painting setups, but my all-time favorite is the one shown below. It holds my wet palette of paints and my painting while I paint and while I travel to and from a location. It clips onto any standard camera tripod. It’s very lightweight but very durable; it can really take a beating without damage. And it only cost about $20.

By the way I appreciate all the emails everyone has sent, but I don’t carry a cell phone when I’m painting out on locations like this so you won’t be able to reach me then. But I always answer emails a.s.a.p. when I’m back on the computer, so feel free to email me any time with questions or comments.
