A GREAT WAY TO START THE DAY by TOM BROWN
Aside from that I’d like to share how I began my day today. I stopped at the edge of a construction site that had been a farm, and is now being prepared to become a new housing development or something. As I was creating the studies shown below, the operator of the equipment came to watch and was tickled I was painting his gear. It was just a quick color study and a pencil sketch done on paper. But it seemed to make him very proud. So when I was finished I shot these photos of my sketches and gave him the originals. It really seemed to make his day; he immediately went around to all the other workers showing them his “real oil painting” and sketch of his equipment. It was a win-win for everybody. I had photos of my reference studies and I made a new friend happy. You can’t beat that!
