“GULL ROCK,” LAGUNA BEACH

This is a demo I did during a plein air workshop I taught. We were at the ocean in Laguna Beach. This craggy rock formation is usually crowded with seagulls. It’s a favorite resting spot for them. But that day the surf was pounding heavily against the rocks and washing over them constantly. So the gulls were staying away when I painted this. Nevertheless it was a refreshing day to be outdoors at the ocean and we all had a wonderful time.
This is a 17x11 inch oil on a primed foam core panel.
     It’s available for $99 HERE.
