PLEIN AIR LANDSCAPE (click here to bid)

There is a special magic that finds its way into paintings created on location (en plein air). You can almost feel the warmth of the sun and the gentle breeze in these paintings. Rapidly changing light forces an artist to work intuitively and put his initial vision on canvas fast, without a lot of fuss. This captures a sense of excitement found only in location work.

Subscribe on this page (upper right) to get email alerts of my daily paintings hot off the easel - plus painting tips and techniques, news of special events, and more! Speaking of special events, come meet me this evening, Thursday, December 14th at 6:30 pm. I will be giving a painting demonstration and lecture at the Irvine Fine Arts Center in Irvine, California. It’s free to the public and refreshments will be served. You may even win a free painting. Hope to meet you there.
