Today’s thought to smile about:
The mystery of what’s around the next bend

I love this piece. It's looseness is just great.
I love this work, but, frankly, I start to wonder why the uplifting thoughts of the day are almost never of anything that I would find uplifting. Hmm, maybe I should lighten up. Maybe I'll parody your web page in the next issue of Pirate Paper, where 'a few of my favorite things,' are in a different catagory, to say the least. My special thought for the day might be, 'a day without beer can missils from passing cars,' I had a day like that just last week! I almost had a day without police harassment, it was about a year ago, as I recall, but by midnight my hopes were dashed by the invariable rude comment, in passing, from a squad car. In all honesty I love being among the people who do not matter, because no one bothers me when I draw, God its great, I worked toward this all of my life, and I love it beyond measure. I look like pretty much of a blight though, and I certainly do attract some abrasive commentary. People who get close enough to see what I'm doing are wowed by my work, and that is sort of fun. The park service had an investigator sneek up on me, and my bags,he took a picture of me drawing a tree, the drawing looked like a photo of the tree, and they posted the photo, of the photorepresentational drawing being drawn by me, in the ranger station, an so, I never get harassed in the park anymore; because I've been cannonized, as the immortalizer of trees, I guess.
