I often do small, quick studies on an inexpensive surface like cardboard or paper. It’s a great way to stay loose and capture the initial inspiration. Because the materials are not viewed as precious. And that’s when we are willing to take chances. This little study was done on used cardboard; the painted area is about 4x5 inches and took minutes to paint. Available.
