For this painting I used my compact metal paintbox, which enabled me to be set up and painting less than 2 minutes from the time I spotted this scene. The light changes quickly, and it’s important to have equipment that enables me to move fast to capture it in a painting. This was painted during a recent plein air workshop I taught, and it was a day to be remembered.
