The MOOD and LIGHTING were the elements I most wanted to capture in this one. I have always enjoyed painting ancient and abandoned structures like this. As I record them in art I often muse over the stories they could tell.

This is a studio painting done from sketches created on site when I had discovered this subject. I was very pleased with the result, and I hope you like it too.
