Color and texture were the focus of this painting. The colors of the climbing roses, the vibrant color of the window and the texture of the stucco wall make a wonderful combination of elements.

For the stucco wall I used liberal quantities of thick, rich, juicy oil paints that were applied with a palette knife; almost like literally “stuccoing” the wall. As a result, the actual physical surface of the canvas has a thick, richly textured surface. This painting really sparkles and will add a note of lively color to any room of your home.
