Gray days can be fun to paint if you look for the colors
first. I like to start by mixing colors on my palette that are a bit more
lively than things may look, then I gray them down with just a touch of their
opposite on the color wheel. Doing this avoids “dead” grays and puts a bit more
life and warmth into the painting. Try this in your own paintings and watch
them come to life.
