OJAI, SHANGRI-LA by TOM BROWN

I often like to do a small color study like this before launching into a larger, more detailed painting. This is a 4x5 oil painting on card stock, featuring the Post Office Tower in Ojai. Ojai was the setting for Shangri-La in the famous movie “The Lost Horizon.” Even today Ojai remains incredibly beautiful and I’ve always enjoyed visiting there.
