PLEIN AIR FIELD STUDY by TOM BROWN
The group of birds on the wires drew my attention to this scene. I felt they added a lot to the interest to this piece and made sure to include them in the painting.
I painted this exclusively with a palette knife using rich, colorful strokes of oil paints. I often create field studies this way to capture the truth of a subject in a way that a camera cannot.
