Don’t you love Autumn? The sound of crisp, crunchy leaves underfoot. The delicious contrast of the blue sky and golden leaves. And the sweetly scented breeze rustling through the tree branches overhead. I tried to capture those feelings in this piece. It was done as a study with hopes of using it as the basis to create a larger studio piece when I have time. But this one came out so well that I’ve decided to share it here for anyone who feels the same about this wonderful season. The painting is done on an 8x10 paper, and the painted area is approximately 8x6 inches. It can easily be framed by placing a rigid support like cardboard behind the painting.
