Here’s a sketchbook quickie. I spotted the laundry out in the fresh air and I couldn’t resist doing this. Oils are perfect for moments like this. Because my palette is always ready and my sketchbook setup is quick and simple to use. And never messy. I can just pause at the side of the road, knock out a little quickie like this, and I’m on my way again. Lots of fun!

I am an American artist and I host a TV Art Instruction show where I teach studio oil painting and plein air painting in the Impressionist style.
