An alternate name I considered for this one is “Plein Air Pilot” Because I painted it while outdoors on location (en plein air) as artists say. The massive cloud formation and stunning lighting are what drew me to paint this. And as I was finishing it I spotted this plane cutting across the sky, leaving a glowing vapor trail. I couldn’t resist adding that final touch to this painting.
