At the base of this sprawling oak tree an old fence is barely standing, and I was curious as to why it was ever built there. It seems to serve no purpose. Perhaps someone long ago had plans to fence off that plot of land for some unknown reason and those plans were never completed. Perhaps the oak was like an old friend and the person who built the fence wanted to preserve that as a private area. It’s an interesting puzzle. And it made an interesting subject to paint. I hope you enjoyed it.
