“A FLEETING MOMENT”
6x4 ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING
ON MASONITE PANEL
by TOM BROWN
When I painted this I wasn’t sure if it would work. Now
it’s one of my favorites.
I had to paint this in a hurry because the sun sets so fast.
I felt like I was racing Mother Nature.
I did the entire painting with my palette knife, working
as fast as I could to get the colors and values right. Details didn’t matter. I
wanted to catch the “feeling” of the moment. That’s all that mattered.
When I looked at it the next day I realized that it
captured everything I wanted. Sometimes I get lucky.
Thanks for stopping to look,
Tom Brown
