I love unfinished artworks. They seem to leave a bit of mystery. And they leave something for the viewer to complete. It makes it more interesting.
At a local fast food place where I was having lunch I did a small quick study of this interesting character. Back in my studio I did a more careful drawing of him on this 9x12 panel. I intended to do a complete figure painting, but when I got his far I realized I had already said everything I wanted to say. In a sense it was already complete just as it is now.
