The interesting colors of foliage in this tree caught my eye and became the
focus of this piece. This is one of my favorite places to paint. It’s always exciting.
An artist friend and I once watched a bobcat casually stroll past as we
painted. This time a large blue heron landed nearby and kept a wary eye on me. There
wasn’t time to work him into the composition but he made good company as I
painted. It was a peaceful and memorable day. A great escape from the outside
world. I wish you a similarly relaxing and joyful day as well. And I thank you
for stopping to look.
