This view along Portola Parkway is another of my favorite spots in Irvine, California not far from my home. I once painted this same scene many years ago when the current parkway was merely a dirt biking trail. The tall trees in the foreground are eucalyptus, and behind them avocado groves blanket the hillsides. I feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of the world.
