LARGE OCEAN PLEIN AIR PAINTING BY TOM BROWN

"LIQUID THUNDER"
12x16 INCH ORIGINAL
OIL PAINTING BY TOM BROWN

Paintings done on location often capture the feeling and mood of the scene far better than studio paintings. There’s nothing like being there to personally experience the sights, sounds and scents. And those feelings tend to become part of the painting itself.

This is another memory-maker that captures the sensation of being at the ocean on vacation. This was painted on location, and the painting is loaded with rich, juicy oils. Click the detail image for a better look.

ARTIST ALERT: My new PLEIN AIR workshop starts this Saturday. Classes are held for 5 Saturday mornings from 9am to noon (some of us stay longer if we're having too much fun). All skill levels are welcome, including absolute beginners. (I'll get you started right.)

I've got some terrific lessons and locations planned including:
-- Composition as you've never been taught!
-- New "conceptual" approaches to subject matter.
-- How to work "in a series" for added fun.
-- My own personal techniques and materials to kick it up a notch.
-- And much more. . . .

All locations are "user friendly" with restrooms, convenient parking and great scenery to paint.
Email me if you would like to join the fun: tombrownstudio@cox.net
