We had violent winds this morning. And smoke from wildfires filled the sky. As an artist I couldn’t ignore the unbelievable colors, and quickly grabbed my paint box. The air was so thick I could only tolerate painting for a brief period, despite the heavy mask I wore. But I succeeded. I captured it and quickly returned to the safety of my home with this little treasure. I realize this subject matter isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but sometimes terrible things can reveal their own form of beauty. That’s what I saw in this. And I wanted to share it for others who can appreciate it from the same perspective.
